In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 3, 2016, a fire broke out at the Renaissance Apartment Homes on North 43rd Avenue in Phoenix. The blaze, which was contained to a single unit, led to a grim discovery for the firefighters responding to the scene. Inside the apartment, they found the body of a Hispanic male, 35-year-old Michael Bourassa.
