On April 14, 2023, 18-year-old Rolando Cepeda was fatally shot while sitting outside his father's auto repair shop, Performance Auto Repair, on West 23rd Street in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. Witnesses reported that two males dressed in black and wearing ski masks approached Cepeda; one of them drew a firearm and shot him multiple times. Another individual, Carlos Jorge, was also injured during the shooting but survived.
