On August 31, 2014, authorities in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, responded to a residence on Penn Court following a report of two unresponsive individuals. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of 55-year-old Wayne Volciak and his 51-year-old wife, Michelle Volciak, both deceased from gunshot wounds. The couple had died within hours of being found. The incident was investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
