On July 9, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Harrisburg police responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Walnut and Balm Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Myriah Crittenden, also known as Morah or Moram, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate emergency aid, Crittenden was pronounced dead at the scene.
