On September 29, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., Allentown police responded to a reported shooting at 628 North Law Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Giselle Karen "Gigi" Trabal inside her first-floor apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. She was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where she was pronounced dead at 4:49 a.m. The Lehigh County Coroner, Daniel A. Buglio, ruled her death a homicide, citing the cause as a gunshot wound to the body.
