On October 2, 2023, at approximately 5:30 a.m., 18-year-old Sian Amaya Cartagena was found with a gunshot wound to the head in a second-floor bedroom of a residence on West Green Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The sole other individual present was 21-year-old Ethan Nicholas Bastien, who contacted 911, reporting that Cartagena had taken a gun and shot herself.
