On December 14, 2023, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 4900 block of Boudinot Street in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. Upon arrival, they discovered 56-year-old Bernie Perez in a rear alley/driveway, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Officers immediately transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 7:30 p.m.
