Death by Force

On the evening of June 29, 2024, 23-year-old William Shirley was fatally shot in Philadelphia. At approximately 7:50 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire on the unit block of North 52nd Street in the city's Overbrook neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found Shirley lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m.
