On July 24, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Pittsburgh Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 block of Amanda Street in the city's Knoxville neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 51-year-old Anthony Walker behind the Triangle Mart, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was immediately transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition but, despite medical efforts, succumbed to his injuries.
