On July 30, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 18-year-old high school student Amir Rambert was fatally shot near Memorial Park on Engle Street in Chester, Pennsylvania. A 17-year-old male was also injured in the incident, sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg; he was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center and listed in stable condition.
