On October 10, 2024, at approximately 4:28 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 3900 block of Kensington Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old James Ward suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, James Ward succumbed to his injuries on October 12, 2024.
