On May 7, 2023, 51-year-old Daniel Barham was found deceased near Highway 772 in Pine Hall, North Carolina. Deputies from the Stokes County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 12:40 p.m., where they were met by Barham's family, who directed them to his location.
