On June 9, 2023, Greensboro police conducted a welfare check at 1601 East Washington Street, Apartment C, around 4:30 p.m. Inside, they discovered 47-year-old Christopher Savalas Parson Sr. deceased from a gunshot wound. Authorities promptly initiated a homicide investigation into his death.
