On May 27, 2011, in Greensboro, North Carolina, 33-year-old Manika Mittal, an Indian-American woman, was tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident. The alleged perpetrator was her estranged husband, 42-year-old Sandeep Mittal, an Indian-American man. The incident occurred in Forsyth County, where both individuals were found deceased from gunshot wounds.
