Mason was known for his passion for football, his outgoing nature, and his commitment to uplifting others. He was an active member of Revelation Church International in Asheboro, North Carolina, where he deepened his spiritual faith.
As of August 11, 2023, the Greensboro Police Department had not identified any suspects in connection with the double homicide of Mason and Alston. Authorities continued to seek information from the public to aid in their investigation.
