On the evening of August 5, 2023, 48-year-old Jennifer Renea Vann and her husband, Brian Carter Vann, also 48, were found deceased in their residence on Sambo Jackson Road in Wade, North Carolina. Cumberland County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a possible overdose at approximately 9:32 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered both individuals had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
