Michael Scheidt, a 38-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed on December 20, 2002, while at Kahe Point Beach Park in Waianae, Honolulu. Scheidt was with friends when an unknown assailant shot him from a distance, hitting him in the chest. He was quickly rushed to St. Francis Medical Center West, but he did not survive the injury.
