Upon arrival, they found 21-year-old Cristian Rodriguez suffering from a gunshot wound. Rodriguez was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on February 7, 2024.
The investigation revealed that Rodriguez and a 14-year-old juvenile suspect were involved in a dispute that escalated, resulting in the suspect
shooting Rodriguez. On February 16, 2024, Raleigh police arrested the 14-year-old, charging the individual with murder in connection to Rodriguez's death.
