In the early hours of February 24, 2024, at approximately 4:53 a.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of Quail Hollow Drive in Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Jose Ignacio Marquez-Diaz suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
