Death by Force

On February 27, 2024, shortly after midnight, 18-year-old Jamari De'Jon Haskins of Chesapeake, Virginia, was fatally shot at a residence on Madison Street in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Upon arrival, police found multiple individuals at the scene, including Haskins, who was pronounced dead. The initial report to 911 described the incident as a drive-by shooting; however, subsequent investigations revealed that Haskins was shot inside the residence.
