On March 2, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Greensboro police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment on the 300 block of O'Connor Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 67-year-old James "Chuck" Willis Chesnutt Jr. deceased from gunshot wounds.
