On May 29, 2024, 37-year-old Valdez Deundra Stephenson was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. in the 3200 block of 13th Avenue North, in the Norwood neighborhood. Upon arrival, Birmingham Police officers found Stephenson lying unresponsive in a grassy area, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel.
