On April 1, 2024, 28-year-old Deavon Dashon Maultsby, known as "Webbie," was fatally shot on Regan Church Road in Lumberton, North Carolina. Following the incident, Maultsby was transported by private vehicle to UNC Southeastern Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In the days immediately after the shooting, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office identified 23-year-old Lumberton resident, Zione Irons, as the primary suspect in Maultsby's death. Authorities issued a warrant ...
