On April 12, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon in the 6200 block of Upas Lane, located in the Hickory Grove Division of Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Justin Carache-Soto, a local rapper, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics from MEDIC pronounced him deceased at the scene.
