On the evening of May 11, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting at an Exxon gas station located at the intersection of Remount Road and West Boulevard in west Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Octavis Terrell Oshay Houston suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite paramedics' efforts, Houston was pronounced dead at the scene.
