Death by Force

On May 29, 2024, 23-year-old Naquan Montrell Young was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Z-Mart convenience store in Oxford, North Carolina. Oxford police officers, en route to another call, were alerted by two women who directed them to the scene where Young had been shot. He was initially transported to Granville Medical Center and subsequently transferred to Duke Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
