On September 22, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at the Carolina Vibe nightclub in Red Springs, North Carolina. The incident resulted in the death of 31-year-old Devonta "Von" Ray and left another individual injured. Ray, a well-known and respected member of the community, was fatally shot multiple times in front of his family.
