On October 14, 2024, at approximately 7:45 a.m., deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an unresponsive individual lying in the middle of Camp Trailee Road in Dudley, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 19-year-old Tyleem Qur’an Juemar Coleman, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Following the discovery, detectives and crime scene investigators initiated a thorough investigation, collecting evidence and pursuing leads to
identify the perpetrator(s) responsible for Coleman's death. His body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Despite ongoing efforts by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder as of December 17, 2024.
