David Demarlo Thompson, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 23, 2017, in Dudley, North Carolina. He was found in his backyard suffering from gunshot wounds, and despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
