On October 16, 2024, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Greensboro police responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of West McGee Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, 52-year-old Yamil Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
