On October 19, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Winston-Salem police officers responded to reports of a shooting at Granville Park, located in the 700 block of Granville Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Reaylie Trinidad Noyola suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced Noyola dead at the scene.
The initial investigation suggested that the incident was not a random act of violence.
Subsequent inquiries led to the arrest of 22-year-old Tony Toribioestrada, who was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Noyola's death. At the time of his arrest, Toribioestrada was already in custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center on a felony robbery charge related to the case.
