On October 31, 2024, at approximately 4:01 p.m., deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Atomic Drive in Spring Lake, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Damonte Mayson Larsen suffering from gunshot wounds. Larsen was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
