On January 14, 2023, 19-year-old Burger King employee, Sideic Robinson, was fatally shot multiple times inside the restaurant on Lyell Avenue in Rochester, New York, as he was leaving work.
Following an investigation, on February 23, 2023, Rochester police arrested 19-year-old Dashaun Tubbs in connection with Robinson's death. Authorities indicated that Tubbs and Robinson were acquainted, and the shooting stemmed from a perceived act of disrespect.
