On a cold January evening in the Bronx, chaos erupted in the Concourse section, leaving one man dead and three others wounded. On Saturday, January 21, 2023, just before 10:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired in the vicinity of 1121 Morris Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered a bloody scene with two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was Kadeem Corion, a 33-year-old male from Queens.
He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the stomach. Emergency services rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, but his injury proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead. The other man found at the initial scene, a 29-year-old, was shot in the left arm and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
As the investigation unfolded, police discovered two additional victims connected to the same shooting incident. A 30-year-old man was found approximately three blocks away, near Sherman Avenue and E. 167th Street, with a gunshot wound to his lower back. Another victim, a 24-year-old male, was taken by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem. Both of these men were also listed in stable condition.
In the wake of the violence, the New York City Police Department has been actively investigating the quadruple shooting. However, as of the latest reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Kadeem Corion and the wounding of the three other men. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible for this brazen act of violence.
