On April 26, 2023, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Jason Oliver, a 31-year-old resident of Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, was fatally shot in the chest in the courtyard of 330 Hinsdale Street in the New Lots neighborhood. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
