Death by Force

On August 20, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., 24-year-old Bronx resident and mother of two, Lashawn Andrews, was fatally shot outside her home at 422 East 178th Street in the Crotona neighborhood. The incident occurred following a dispute between Andrews and two women known to her. During the altercation, one of the women retrieved a firearm from a nearby vehicle and shot Andrews in the face. Emergency responders transported her to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
