In the early evening of January 7, 2024, a fatal encounter unfolded on a Harlem street, leaving 39-year-old Omar Espinal, a male, dead from gunfire. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 6:22 p.m., police discovered Espinal inside the driver's seat of his Honda Civic, parked outside an apartment building on West 135th Street. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the head and neck area and was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7:00 p.m.
