On a Friday night in Bay Shore, New York, a gathering of approximately 50 young people at an outdoor party on Ackerson Boulevard turned into a scene of violence and tragedy. It was on March 22, 2024, that 19-year-old Sean Mills, a Black male, was shot and killed. The incident, which occurred at around 9 p.m., also resulted in a 17-year-old girl being wounded.
