On March 9, 2023, at approximately 4:50 p.m., 36-year-old Jose Manuel Sosa was fatally shot in the driveway of his home on Walbridge Avenue in Bay Shore, New York. Sosa had just returned home and was near some garbage cans on the side of his residence when an assailant approached him. The shooter, described as wearing a face mask and dressed in all black, fired multiple shots at close range, striking Sosa. His wife was inside the house at the time of the incident.
