On a Wednesday afternoon in April, a dark-colored sedan rushed to the entrance of Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Inside, 45-year-old Oliver Gamaliel was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. At approximately 2:37 p.m. on April 17, 2024, an unidentified group of people dropped him off at the hospital, hoping to save his life. However, his injury was too severe, and just minutes later, at 2:46 p.m., he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
