Death by Force

On July 1, 2024, 29-year-old Christian Alvarado of Pomona, New York, was fatally shot in Haverstraw. The incident occurred near Fairmount Avenue and West Street around 4:30 p.m. Responding officers found Alvarado lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, next to a vehicle that had crashed into a parked car. He was transported to Nyack Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
