On a late August evening in Brentwood, New York, a verbal dispute on a residential front lawn escalated into a fatal encounter for Joshua E. Jasmin. On August 30, 2024, the 30-year-old North Babylon man was shot and killed outside a home on Charter Oaks Avenue. Authorities allege that Romeo Campbell, 23, of Brentwood, fired a shotgun twice, striking Jasmin in the torso.
