Death by Force

On August 30, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred on Charter Oaks Avenue in Brentwood, New York. Joshua E. Jasmin, a 30-year-old resident of North Babylon, was fatally shot during a verbal dispute with 23-year-old Romeo Campbell, also of Brentwood. Witnesses reported that Campbell fired two shots from a shotgun, striking Jasmin in the torso. Emergency responders transported Jasmin to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
