On September 11, 2024, at approximately 7:33 a.m., 32-year-old Rafael Vasquez was fatally shot near East 180th Street and Creston Avenue in the Bronx. Responding officers found Vasquez unconscious with gunshot wounds to his face and back. He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
