On January 4, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Franklin County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 2400 block of Spring Valley Drive in Pacific, Missouri. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds outside the home: 39-year-old Ronald G. Cline Jr., who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 34-year-old Leslie N. Barstow, who was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
