Peter Joseph Halm was tragically murdered on September 5, 1976, in Pacific, Missouri. His death was the result of a calculated and cold-blooded plot orchestrated by his wife, Carmen Miranda Halm. Carmen, who had known Dr. Glennon Engleman since childhood and had worked for him as a dental assistant trainee, conspired with Engleman to have her husband killed in order to collect a $60,000 life insurance policy.
