On January 4, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Franklin County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 2400 block of Spring Valley Drive near Pacific, Missouri. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old Ronald Cline Jr. deceased from gunshot wounds and 34-year-old Leslie N. Barstow critically injured. Barstow was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
