On January 11, 2023, 51-year-old Michelle Anne Trout (née Meyer) was tragically shot and killed in the parking lot of the Best Western Hotel in Washington, Missouri. The incident also resulted in injuries to a man who was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
