On March 8, 2023, a tragic incident occurred near Foley, Missouri, resulting in the deaths of 38-year-old Lauren "Laurie" Jennings Foland and her father, 72-year-old Scott Preston Causey. Authorities determined that Laurie's husband, 56-year-old Phillip Lee Foland, fatally shot both victims before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
