On March 8, 2023, a tragic domestic violence incident claimed the life of 38-year-old Lauren 'Laurie' Jennings Foland at her residence near Foley, Missouri. Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home, located in the 2500 block of Highway W, after receiving a 911 call from one of the children inside the house. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the bodies of Lauren and her father, 72-year-old Scott Preston Causey, both of whom had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
