On May 8, 2023, 36-year-old Elma Lamont Davis was fatally shot in the parking lot of a closed Walgreens near the intersection of Gravois and Grand avenues in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. in the city's Tower Grove South neighborhood.
