In the warm afternoon of August 2, 2018, 16-year-old Trevon Russell was enjoying a summer day at Mount Pleasant Park in Saint-Louis, Missouri. A place he knew well, just a short distance from his grandparents' house, it was a familiar and cherished spot where he had spent countless hours as a child.
